Nicole & Kyle
A truly iconic Melbourne winter wedding — and that's not an understatement.
Venue — Glasshaus
Suits — Briggins
Dress — Grace Loves Lace & Henne
Rings — Scarlett Jewellery
The morning started in a Toorak Airbnb, Ru Paul's Drag Race humming in the background while Nicole's makeup artist put the finishing touches on. The energy was electric — best friends laughing, excitedly talking over each other, champagne already in hand. Nicole wore a Grace Loves Lace gown that was absolutely made for her, and as the light trickled through the windows, her mum and best friend Alana helped with her jewellery and the final touches. Quiet, tender and completely beautiful.
A first look with her besties, then we were off to Mid Air at Hyde Melbourne Place to meet Kyle. Getting ready shots with the boys, then up to the rooftop for their first look. The Melbourne skyline as a backdrop, wind whipping Nicole's dress and hair dramatically, while Kyle stood there trying to hold it together. He didn't. It was perfect.
We wandered the venue using the architecture and city skyline for portraits, then stole a quiet moment inside, just the two of them, champagne in hand, candid and completely in love. Nerves and all.
An Uber to Richmond brought us to The Glasshaus for the ceremony and reception. Candles lined the aisle on a cold winter evening as Nicole walked in and embraced Kyle, and just like that, the whole room fell apart in the best possible way. Tissues and handkerchiefs appeared from every pocket and purse. There was so much joy for this couple it was impossible not to feel it.
Upstairs, the reception was stunning. High ceilings, low lighting, and an abundance of plants create the warmest and cosiest atmosphere in a beautifully grand room. Food was served, laughter bellowed, and the evening unfolded exactly as it should — teary speeches, group hugs on the dance floor and a room overflowing with people who were just so genuinely happy for them.
A night this couple had waited for, celebrated with every single one of their favourite people. Pure joy, start to finish.
